A very special thanks to the City of Santa Cruz Department of Economic Development and Redevelopment for their support and their major contribution to the prize money. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Next Space, New Technology Meet-up and University Economics Association for their contributions. With all the sponsors’ input the Business Plan Competition plan to offer up to $25,000 of total prize money to the winners and runners-up of the contest.
The UCSC Business Plan Competition is meant to provide you with a stimulating, thought-provoking, and rewarding experience that will contribute to your future career choices. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity.
Last years winners of our first annual Business Plan Competition!
The Finals Event took place on May 29th, 2009 at the University Center of UCSC. At the event, teams had 15 minutes to present their business plan to a panel of judges as well as to an attending audience of 150+. First place was awarded $12, 000. Second $2,000 and Third $1,000. In addition, the audience was able to select a People's choice award for $500.
